Wolf-Gordon company history timeline
Founded in 1967 in NYC by Mel Wolf, Bernie Gordon, Tony Prota and Frank Carr, Wolf-Gordon initially distributed vibrantly colored and textured, vinyl wallcovering.
Rick has presided over the company’s significant growth, from the 1990’s to the present, through strategic leadership in design, marketing, sales and product diversification.
Since 1993, Wolf-Gordon has donated over $1.8 million to the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) through our Gift of Hope program.
In 1994, as our industry faced the tragedy of the AIDS pandemic, Rick started Wolf-Gordon’s Gift of Hope Program to donate a percentage of sales to Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA). Wolf-Gordon is DIFFA’s largest all-time contributor at $1.8 million.
In 1999, she established her own firm.
The company, founded by professional tennis player Venus Williams in 2002, is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
In 2002, Madden created the Haven, Etchings, Refractions, Touchstone, and Visions collections for Wolf-Gordon.
Since joining Wolf-Gordon in 2013, Michael has led wallcovering and RAMPART® wall protection design, as well as growth in our customs and digital offerings.
Since 2014, Josh has overseen the operations at Wolf-Gordon, including customer service, logistics, IT, and sales support.
After graduating from the Amsterdam Fashion Instituut and Sandberg Instituut, where she specialized in textile design and applied arts, Dutch designer Mae Engelgeer opened her own studio in 2014.

She was honored with a HiP Award from Interior Design in 2017 for Creative Direction.
Prior to joining Wolf-Gordon in March 2019, Ben served as CFO of World & Main, EVP and CFO of Arrow Storage Products, and Corporate Assistant Controller at Advance Publications, an $8 billion cable, magazine and newspaper conglomerate.
Rick has served on the boards of DIFFA and Free to Choose, and in recognition of his generosity, was awarded with Interior Design’s HiP Award for “Leader: Greater Good” in 2019.
