The Dean of Curriculum and Analytics directs the design, articulation and evolution of the school's curricular vision and academic program. Additionally, they are responsible for the operational mechanics of the academic program. Equally as important, this role will spearhead the analytic and institutional research components for the school, serving as the chief data scientist at Urban. This position, along with the Assistant Head for Teaching and Learning, acts as the curricular visionary for Urban, advancing the school's academic framework and footprint.
Specific areas of responsibility include: leading the curricular engine for Urban; partnering with the Assistant Head for Teaching and Learning and Department Chairs to support innovative pedagogy and curriculum as well as annual faculty assessment; leading the school's data analytics projects and measures; coordination of annual course offerings; preparing the comprehensive class schedule with the support of the registrar and department chairs; and oversight of student assessment. Directs strategic changes and advancements to the academic program in alignment with the Urban strategic plan and WASC initiatives;
Works with department chairs and faculty to act as a catalyst for curricular innovation and initiatives by chairing the Program Innovation Committee;
Teaches one or two courses within the school.
Analytics and Institutional Research
Acts as the chief data scientist for Urban, supporting offices throughout the school with research projects, inquiries, and data‑informed decision making;
Develops and directs the academic analytics strategy for Urban;
Communicates with the Urban community key data‑informed trends at Urban and within the broader independent school context;
Leads the Independent School Data Exchange relationship for Urban and supports additional outward‑facing data collection efforts (e.g. CAL‑ISBOA);
Leads the NAIS‑DASL data submission process for the school.
Equity and Inclusion
Works with department chairs and Dean of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to translate and apply research around equity pedagogy to teaching at Urban;
Analyzes research around equitable assessment, grading, and curriculum development in order to increase the accessibility and inclusivity of curricular practices;
Collects and analyzes data around student achievement, with an eye toward identifying and addressing patterns of unequal student achievement across identity groups.
Scheduling
Builds the comprehensive course schedule, and works with the Registrar to create draft schedules for all students;
With the Department Chairs and Assistant Head for Teaching and Learning, determines annual course offerings, staffing needs, and number of sections;
Communicates scheduling process and logistics to grade deans and partners with them to guide grade teams through the academic course selection for students;
Creates the weekly schedule, including E‑period and T‑period assignments;
Oversees new student class selection and placement.

With other administrators, represents the academic program at admissions events as requested;
Supervises the grading and reporting system (3‑week Reports, Interim Reports, Course Reports);

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the direction of Management, is responsible for overall operation of their location(s). Supervisors provide direction for the Runners, and Servers. They oversee all stand operations and implement all company policies during the event.

The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand for extended periods, actively monitor students in and around the pool, and respond quickly to emergencies. CPR, First Aid, and water safety certification are required.

Graduate Assistant for the American Indian Studies Program
Housed under Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Department
Position Overview:
The Department of American Indian Studies seeks students as Graduate Assistants. Appointments are contingent upon adequate funding.
* The Graduate Assistant is a student position for those actively enrolled in a graduate program at Fresno State. Students are limited to 20-hours of part-time work on campus.
The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign Graduate Assistants to the courses or duties that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, appointments may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
Anticipated Appointment Dates: This position is opened until filled. If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified.
* Spring 2026: January 15, 2026 - May 22, 2026
Hours/Units per week: Students can work up to 20-hours per week;
* 1-unit is equivalent to 2.66 hrs per week (40hrs x 1-unit/15-unit)
* No more than 6 units, (or not to exceed 7.50 total WTU's in one semester, which equates to 20-hours per week)
Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific area to which the GA will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty supervisor.
* Compiling water and farm data for the San Joaquin Valley from existing Groundwater Sustainability Agency databases;
* Compiling California water data from state water databases;
* Compiling Tribal and Allottee data from California state databases;
* Creating water maps and Tribal water maps for the San Joaquin Valley.
* Assist faculty with research and preparation of course materials
* Provide research assistance and practical experience in fields related to their advanced study
Qualifications:
* Minimum GPA 3.0; Applicants with a 3.5 or higher are preferred,
* International students must have a TOEFL score of 600 or better,
* Must enroll in at least 6 units (three of which must be graduate units) for the semester or in two courses applicable to program of study,
* Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff and students from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic background,
* For those who have previously held a TA position at Fresno State, peer and student evaluations will be reviewed and considered as part of the selection process.
* Experience with GIS and/or other mapping software.

* Evaluations: GA's may be evaluated per CBA, Unit 11, Article 8
* Salary: Each department has different salary scales. Please check with your department for your Base Salary. The monthly salary is calculated based on the Weighted Teaching Units assigned.
* Salary Schedule: The CSU salary schedule can be found here (Class Code = 2355 for Graduate Assistants).
* Assignments: Assignments are made by Department Chair or Program Coordinator after consultation with the teaching associate.
* Duties Form: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Unit 11, a Duties Form (see Appendix E of the CBA) will be completed between the Department and Academic Student Employee. This form substantiates the jobs included for the department teaching associate position.
