Job Title: Math Tutor (Part Time) General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, plans and facilitates collaborative math tutoring sessions for elementary, middle, and/or high school students. Part-time Math Tutor Walsh Jesuit High School has an opening for a tutor to staff the Walsh Jesuit Math Lab on a part-time basis, two days per week during the school day, 7:45 am - 3:00 pm. Applicants should have a current State of Ohio Teaching License in High School Mathematics and the ability to tutor algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. Tutors Math Support Tutor Reports to: Principal Description: Math Support Tutors work up to 2-3 days a week, at the established rate of $25.00 per hour. Essential Functions: Assist classroom teachers, as assigned by the principal, in use of student data to plan small group and individual standards-based instruction Assist teachers with full implementation of district initiatives; Assist teachers with planning instructional interventions for students based upon the data; Implement interventions with small groups or individual students within the classroom environment; Monitor student progress through conferencing and assessments to determine effectiveness of instruction; Support effective use of instructional time by coaching student individual work, by delivering targeted small group lessons, and by conferencing with students about learning; Assist teacher with the development of learning centers or stations to address critical needs in skill development; assist teachers with facilitation of station work during differentiated learning time. Additionally, tutors will assist teachers in implementing district initiatives and delivering classroom interventions. By working up to 2-3 days per week, these tutors will play a crucial role in supporting the district's mission to provide equitable and effective instructional support, fostering student growth and achievement.
