Sean Doherty Jr. is COO and co-founded Wurl in 2010 with David Martinez and Sean Doherty, Sr. to build a distribution and monetization network, helping Content companies reach their audiences on an ever-growing list of Streamers. Since 2017, Wurl has been on a mission to make TV better for everyone. Today, Wurl is the world leader in powering streaming TV. Our video distribution and advertising services reach over 250 million connected TVs, delivering hundreds of millions of hours of TV viewing and millions of individually targeted ads. In addition, Wurl’s innovative, market-leading technologies enable content companies, streamers, and advertising to reach new viewers and grow revenue continually. Doherty began his work with Wurl as a sophomore in his undergraduate program at Boston College. In 2013 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Marketing, with a minor in History. Sean spent his time in college as a full-time student and part-time Wurl employee, working at Wurl full-time during college summers. During these early years, he had a wide variety of responsibilities, from engineering planning to business and product development. Dedicated to understanding both sides of Wurl’s business model – technology and media and entertainment – Doherty moved to Los Angeles after graduation and started as an Assistant at the venerable William Morris Endeavor (WME) talent agency. Sean started in the typical mailroom position and after a short run as an assistant, was quickly promoted to Talent Coordinator. After three years of listening and learning at WME, Doherty transitioned back to Wurl as the Director of Business Development. Again, he used his experience and his technology background to evolve Wurl’s product portfolio.

Ron Gutman is a CTO at WURL and is based in San Diego, California. He has worked as General Manager - North America at The Couch; R&D Project Manager at HARMONIC INC; and Sr. Vice President, Technology at Imagine Communications. Ron studied at Technion between 1995 and 1997.
