The team is responsible for: * Ensures that Harmony produces safe and effective products in compliance with US and international regulations. * Reviews all production records to ensure no errors have occurred during manufacture and packaging of Harmony products. * Reviews all procedures and specifications impacting identity, strength, quality and purity of Harmony products. This internship will work on one or more projects in the areas of: Quality Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Clinical Practices and/or Analytical technologies. There may also be other projects and initiatives within the team that may require support. Department Summary Reagent Bioinformatics, a sub-unit of CSI, supports diverse Roche RnD efforts for Library prep, Target Enrichment and Sequencing Solutions, for products both on-market and under development. The Opportunity * Develop, optimize NGS analysis pipelines and pipeline tools. * Provide recommendations based on benchmarking vs existing pipelines/tools. * Deployment of developed pipeline(s)/tools. * NGS analysis, summary, plotting, cross-run comparison. * Present results to key stakeholders to guide assay / RnD development. The Research Intern will assist in ongoing research projects within the GI Medical Oncology department. This role is designed to provide exposure to the research process, including study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, while ensuring compliance with institutional and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities: Complete required Human Research Subjects training and other compliance courses. Participate in departmental educational activities, including Grand Rounds, study meetings, and research seminars. Assist with data collection, literature reviews, and computational analysis for research projects. Shadow and collaborate with the faculty mentor to understand clinical research workflows. Observe and learn electronic health record navigation for research purposes (chart review, documentation). Contribute to the preparation of research materials, reports, and presentations. LEARNING OBJECTIVES 1-Understand Clinical Research Processes Activities: Shadow faculty mentor and research team to learn the steps involved in developing and conducting clinical research projects, including protocol design, regulatory compliance, and data collection. Expected Outcome: Intern will be able to outline the workflow of a clinical research study and identify key regulatory and ethical requirements. 2-Develop Skills in Computational Biology and Data Analysis Activities: Participate in hands-on training using bioinformatics tools and computational methods to analyze genetic and molecular data related to cancer research. Expected Outcome: Intern will gain proficiency in basic computational biology techniques and understand their application in oncology research. 3-Expand Knowledge of Human Research Regulations Activities: Complete Human Subjects Research training and observe compliance processes during study coordination.
