Honestly there aren't any pros.
The director will harass you if she is intimidated by your great work, discrimination, hires her friends/colleagues, needs training in the foundation itself, staff training needed, needs to pay more, they lack
Working with kids
She is jealous, discriminates against staff that are doing their jobs successfully and really needs a better director for the foundation.
I would stick the morals and Represent the YMCA as it should be. I will treat all staff with full respect. I will make sure that all my staff are provide. Pay training to staff at work at the YM. That they are prepared to go out to schools and work. I would support my staff when problems come about. I would not discrimimate nor treat others in a disrespectful manner because of the skills that they may have better than me. I will use Staff that has great knowledge to share their ideas to teach the newest staff as a training tip.A pair to work with kids on site.
I practice at home. I knew what my goal was when I first begin the job I have worked at multiple sites and I have grown at each site and learned and gained knowledge that I can use as I kept going and I share my knowledge by cross-training my staff. So that they knew how to do multiple task if I was to be out or absent for the day or week. I always made sure they had a backup plan for a plan.Because that is the way I was Taught by administrators that cared about their staff when working for the company.
I don't think the YM.C.A has any comparison to the industry average.Pay for anyone that does the job as a site leader coordinator and you leader. Working with kids is not an easy job and it takes a lot of patience and it takes a lot of transparency, understanding and being able to work with others. And learn at the same time and being able to manage the kids as they may give you attitude As you deal with parents to share the information of their behavior sometimes parents agree. Sometimes they don't, so then you have to really stay professional and be as calm as possible to have a clear understanding on both ends of the conversation but staff is definitely not paid enough For what they do daily
The diverse demographics within this organization is not equal. It's a lot of favoritism.By the director jennifer lopez it is very hard to try to work for a foundation that doesn't really care about their staff. It is very challenging when you have a director that's new to their position but Wants to harass you for the job that you are doing which is good as being jealous.
What brings most joy to working for a non? Profit organization would be the children. The impact that you are putting on them on a daily base. As you spend time with them and help them with academics and physical activity and also expending their learning by teaching them. Things that they have never been taught during the day and just knowing that you are helping a child and saving a child's life from hanging out with friends on the streets and more.
