The first Holter system “Lenta-MT” (Figure 1) with LN-3 wearable cardiac monitor (Figure 2) was created in 1982, with which the history of daily monitoring of ECG in Russia began.

In 1990 the Central Research Institute "Cometa" registered “Equipment for registration, analysis and display of ECG long-term control with electronic memory” named “Icar” (Figure 4).

In order to further development of the medical field of work and the transition to self-financing, the Central Research Institute "Cometa" established the joint stock company "Medicom" in 1992 (Figure 6).

Founded in 1996, MEDICOM TOY's BE@RBRICK figure has become an iconic symbol in both the art and fashion worlds, regarded as an "art toy" or design collectible, the bear-like figure has been involved in some of CLOT's most iconic moments - from the SILK ROYALE figures to the Exotic Fruit Collection.

Since the initial release in 2000, Medicom has released thousands of Kubricks in a range of colors, styles, and collaborations.

With the popularity of the Kubrick skyrocketing, on May 27th, 2001, Akashi unveiled his latest project.

Since 2002, the partnership between MEDICOM TOY and Nike’s budding action sports sector has led to some memorable collaborations on both sneakers and collectibles alike.

Slated to release tomorrow, this time-honored drop features the same black-denim colorway that took center stage on one of the tandem’s benchmark projects from 2005.

“One of my favorites was the 2006 World Cup BE@RBRICKS​ collection that represented all the Nike-partnered federations,” Bodecker said. “It came in multiple sizes and the figures were used in retail executions around the world.”

Donnelly eventually shut down the label in 2013, but MediCom continues to dabble in apparel through an ever-expanding range of collaborations.
