GENERAL DUTIES
Pharmacy Operations:
Assists the leader(s) in planning, coordinating, and troubleshooting activities designed to improve the department's operations. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, policies and regulations, and JCAHO standards. Develops new procedures and processes to promote growth, teamwork, and efficiency within the pharmacy department. Fosters relationships with ancillary departments to enhance pharmacy care. Optimizes Automated Dispensing Cabinet (ADC) policies, procedures, and operations. Assists the appropriate stakeholders with maintaining the pharmacy drug formulary and department initiatives. Responds to immediate concerns from hospital administration in the absence of the leader. Maintains the cleanliness of the department. Ensures that all cleaning logs, checklists and inspections are completed per policy and procedure.
Quality and Performance Improvement:
Investigates incident reports (medication errors), analyze data for trends, and report findings to P&T. Develops and implements process improvements (both internally and externally) based on incident report findings. Ensures compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and Joint Commission standards related to medication management. Oversees the narcotic and non-control discrepancy review processes, anesthesia audits, ADC overrides, and electronic diversion monitoring reports. Ensures implementation of new procedures and processes for the pharmacy staff.
Supervision/Staffing of Department Personnel:
Supervises the scheduling, evaluating, and daily activities of the pharmacy personnel. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations. Ensures adequate staffing with the assistance of the other team members, maintaining a workload balance within the pharmacy department. Assists the leaders in FTE budgeting and maintaining adequate pharmacy personnel. Conducts and provides on-going professional staff development via meetings and in-services.
People:
Interviews and selects qualified candidates along with the leaders to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Communicates direction and processes to department staff and mediates disputes when necessary.
Information Systems:
Oversees and supervises the daily operations of the ADCs along with the pharmacy information system team. Works closely with and provides support to the automation team.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Required: 5 years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital; 3 years of experience in a supervisory/lead role.

Our Operations team is responsible for the daily fulfillment and distribution of surgical implants, devices, and instruments. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge and experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. The Operations Manager is also responsible for assignments delegated by the VP of Operations and Director of Ops, which are not limited to the following essential responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Directs, redirects, and guides day-to-day function of team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Ensures team members are trained in all aspects of their position.
Ensures adequate internal controls and associated segregation of duties are in place with the implementation of new processes and systems related to inventory control.
Direct oversight of Inventory Control teams with relation to field reps and distributors driving overall strong performance, process improvement, skill building, cross-training and growth and promotion of safety procedures within facility
Sets up and organizes the warehouse for incoming and outgoing surgery shipments.
Manages and audits inventory control and perpetual inventory procedures to ensure accurate and timely validation of inventory existence and on-hand accuracy.
Manages inventories by tracking inventory records reflecting product movement, notifying departments when supplies of specific items are low, or when orders would deplete available supplies. This also includes effectively interfacing with a third-party Manufactures for accurate counts of loaner and consigned inventory.
Oversee the cycle count activities.
Confers with distribution, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace deliveries.
Continuously monitors departmental processes against industry best practices, performs appropriate benchmarking implements process improvements, and identifies/implements productivity and control enhancements.
Supports the company to achieve business targets and objectives.
Maintains a strict adherence to privacy expectations for customers (HIPAA), employees, and the company. This might mean maintaining specific certifications.
Learning time with background - 3 months; without background, up to 6 months.

Requirements
Education / Experience
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of logistics and warehouse experience, or in a relevant field, preferred.
Previous knowledge of surgical implementation/implants preferred.
Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, as needed, including weekend(s) and evening(s).

SUMMARY
To ensure an environment that encourages client teaching, mentoring, and coaching by all DSPs and Shift Supervisors. Monitor active treatment, skill development, and growth of all clients. Responsible for DSP growth and development. Create a home that yields a clean, organized, welcoming environment. Be the liaison between the responsible site and all operational departments. Fiscal responsibility to include scheduling, purchasing, inventory, etc. Maintain all operational property in a respective manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Represent OAC in a positive and professional manner in community meetings, events and social functions.
• Assist in facilitating hiring, selection, and placement activities to ensure the best-qualified applicants are selected.
• Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment for all employees including, but not limited to planned employee engagement activities.
• Communicate and follow through with all plans of care for the clients by providing instructions and directions to the work teams on site.
• Weekly update of supply inventories
• Alternate on-call responsibilities to include weekend supervisory home visits as assigned.
• Maintain and monitor budgetary obligations for the as outlined by OAC business practices. Complete Human Resource responsibilities such as payroll, scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective action processes.
• Ensure a safe and clean living and working environment as outlined by the facility safety standards, which include environmental walk-throughs, safety committee follow-up and state licensure regulations.
• Attend regularly scheduled Safety Committee and Incident Management Meetings as well as conduct any necessary follow up as assigned.
• Ensure documentation compliance to include review of bed checks, shift notes, and repositioning notes. Address areas in need of improvements improvement with the staff related to documentation daily.
• Attend operational and site-driven meetings to address client and staff needs.
• Serve a liaison for parents/guardians of clients served when necessary.
• In collaboration with the Program Manager and Primary Site Nurse, participate in weekly planning meetings to provide a holistic approach to client support.
• Ensure client participation in the Enrichment Center and community integration by maintaining a functioning activity calendar per site.
• Maintain a support relationship with conservators and family members of the clients.
• Provide coverage to other site(s) in the absence of another Site Operations Manager.
• Perform Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
3+ years of experience working in the ID/DD field in direct support of clients required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Prior supervisory experience with at least 2 years in management and oversight of employees preferred.
Valid TN driver's license required
CPR certification within 30 days of hire is required
Certified in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) within 60 days of hire is required
Competencies:
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient computer skills related to Word, Excel and other applications
Employees Supervised:
Up to 30 employees for the site
