Acquired in 2005 by Safeguard Scientifics, Inc., a publicly traded company located in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
In 2006 Asics generated 171 billion yen in net sales and 13 billion yen in net income making this brand a huge success all over the world.
The company aimed to more than double that figure by 2008 as it built three sales networks focusing on South Korea, greater China, and the rest of the region.
In 2008, Acsis, Inc. was acquired by Saints Capital.
In October 2011, Asics announced they would be the new manufacturer for the Australian Cricket Team, replacing German manufacturer Adidas.
