Responsibilities: * Teaching responsibilities will include courses in Microbiology (both lecture and lab) and Parasitology. Depending on the departmental needs, additional teaching responsibilities may include Introductory Biology I and II, Immunology, and Mechanisms of Disease. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop upper-level courses in their area of expertise. The teaching course load is 24 contact hours per academic year. * Coordinating our Medical Technology major and Laboratory Medicine concentration in the Biology major. * Establishing and maintaining an active research program in their expertise. This program should actively involve undergraduate and graduate students. * Contribute to the M.S. program in biology by teaching graduate-level courses, mentoring student research, and serving on graduate student committees. * Serve on departmental and university-wide committees. Qualifications: * Ph.D. in Microbiology or related field.
