The Department of Genetics is seeking a board-eligible/certified Clinical Geneticist to join its faculty at the level of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will become part of an outstanding team of clinical care providers at the Yale School of Medicine.

There are exciting opportunities to participate in clinical research, including gene therapy and new drug trials for genetic diseases for those who are interested.
The faculty appointee will provide outpatient and inpatient genetic consultations and manage patients as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, including other faculty, nurses, genetic counselors, and a dietitian. The appointee will have the opportunity to join our work to evaluate and manage the Connecticut (CT) newborn screening program by providing consultation services and participating in the advisory council. In addition to providing clinical care, the appointee will participate in teaching trainees and be part of dynamic case conferences and grand rounds. The appointee will have opportunities for collaborative or independent research, community engagement, education and awareness efforts and patient advocacy through the UDN, NORD, and other specialized programs. The Department of Genetics provides clinical care in Medical Genetics in the Yale New Haven Health System. Clinical genetics services include inpatient and outpatient consultation and care. We actively work in collaboration with our state partners on evaluation and management of CT newborn screening program. We have comprehensive clinical laboratory services including on-site cytogenetics and DNA diagnostics services, which provide whole exome/genome testing. The Department sponsors a Medical Genetics Residency program leading to certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics. Admission to the Genetics Residency is directly through the Department.
The Department has a distinguished history of discoveries in medical genetics and has been a global pioneer in using exome sequencing for clinical diagnosis. As part of our commitment to patient care, the Department operates its own state-of-the-art DNA Diagnostic and Cytogenetics Laboratory, offering sequencing and diagnostic services in partnership with the Yale Center for Genome Analysis, one of the largest genome sequencing centers in the world. Position Summary:
All Teaching Faculty members shall: Prepare and teach college-approved courses in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, including developing syllabi and reading lists and keeping each course taught complete and up to date; respond to and work with multiple constituencies, including students, peers (faculty and staff), and external agencies (business, community, educational, etc.); perform divisional departmental responsibilities in the selection of texts and related teaching resources; and other teaching and related duties as outlined on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Example of Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Dean, Chair of the department or other administrator, this Instructor is expected to teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year and will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in the discipline area of study. Additional duties may include evaluating and assessing student learning; providing student support and academic advising; planning and executing program-related events; assisting with program reviews; developing curriculum and periodically evaluating teaching materials; and attending workshops and or conferences to maintain currency in profession and field. The teaching schedule may include both day and evening classes. Course delivery systems may be lecture, hybrid, and/or online.
In addition to the accountabilities listed above, the incumbent is required to carry out the essential duties of attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies; service on assigned committees and task forces; and attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings. These may involve attendance at evening or weekend events.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Anatomy & Physiology or a related degree.
Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) or more years' teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).
Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Human Biology, and/or Cell Biology with a human emphasis, each with in-person laboratory.
Experience in developing courses in a science department, demonstrating teaching strategies that address the needs of a diverse student population, including those with different learning styles.
Professional experience in a clinical setting.
Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction, or other modalities/software.
Starting Salary:
Minimum Salary; $65,708 approximate annual. The salary will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications such as education and job-related experience, and internal equity.

Adjunct instructors are hired locally or regionally to teach specific courses in which they have particular expertise. They normally teach no more than half of the full-time load. Adjunct instructors receive a letter of appointment for each semester in which they teach; they are paid on a per-course basis. No expectation of continuing employment is implied.
The Department of Mathematics and Physics at the University of New Haven is inviting applications for a Mathematics Adjunct Instructor position to begin in Spring 26. The position supports the instructional needs in Mathematics in teaching.
* Courses are primarily offered on-ground
* Eligible candidates will be asked to present a teaching demonstration (via Zoom)
You will:
* Teach one or more College Math, College Algebra, Pre-calculus, Calculus I, Calculus II or Calculus III courses
You need:
* A Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics or related fields
* Preferably prior teaching experience teaching college-level preferred
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to prepare courses with best pedagogical practice in mind
* Experience with instructional technology
* Experience with previous online/remote or hybrid teaching, using web based instructional software, or other learning management systems
* Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly adopt the Canvas LMS.
