Position Summary:
MassBay Community College seeks qualified part time clinical instructors for the current and future semesters in the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community, and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Clinical Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver clinical course materials in a learner-centered environment conductive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period of time. The faculty is responsible for managing the clinical course experience through timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.
Additionally, clinical faculty responsibilities include supervising students in the clinical setting; guidance in the completion of assignments such as daily clinical worksheets, concept maps, and care plans; medication delivery systems, IV delivery systems and conducting student evaluations. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environment conductive to engaging students in the learning process.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and an awareness of new developments in the field in order to update the approach to teaching or content;
* Facilitate pre- and post-conference for assigned students;
* Integrate didactic content into the clinical assignment for the student(s);
* Achieve consistently effective teaching performance as evidenced by student evaluations/comments/letters and achievement of student learning outcomes;
* Refer students back to the Nursing Skills Laboratory for remediation, if needed;
* Recognize and address different learning styles in collaboration with course faculty;
* Communicate with course faculty on a regular basis to track student progress or to develop performance improvement plan to support student learning;
* In collaboration with course faculty, develop individualized interventions for students having difficulty to support student remediation in the clinical setting;
* Responsible for conducting the mid-semester and final clinical evaluations;
* Provide feedback to Assistant Dean of Nursing and Chair of the ADN Program on the appropriateness of the health care agency regarding teaching/learning environment for students;
* Provide feedback to course faculty on student preparedness regarding curriculum;
* Possess a working knowledge of the MBCC ADN modified concept-based curriculum and the level of the participating students;
* Attend course-specific orientation on campus or virtually with Chair of ADN Program and course faculty;
* Participate in clinical faculty mentoring as identified by Assistant Dean of Nursing and course faculty;
* Other duties as assigned and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Dental Assisting Instructors are responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success for all students.
No teaching experience is required; training provided.

Position Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in the dental assisting field required
Must have Massachusetts Dental Assisting License
DANB Certified (Certified Dental Assistant) and CPR certifications required if living in Connecticut; preferred if living in Massachusetts and will be required to obtain once hired
High School diploma or GED required; minimum of a Diploma from a dental assisting program preferred
Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great interpersonal skills

Compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit course
Compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit course.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the position include teaching a graduate or undergraduate course, live or on line in the counseling department. It may include content courses such as human development, psychopharmacology, counseling theories, and clinical coursework such as practicum or internship.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology or related field (Mental Health, Rehabilitation Counseling or School Counseling).
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate should be licensed, certified or eligible with at least 3 years' experience. We will prioritize candidates with current licensure in Massachusetts a well-articulated counselor identity; Experience teaching and providing clinical supervision to counselors-in-training; Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
