GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Adjuncts will teach introductory and/or advanced Chemistry courses to students from a diverse cultural and educational background. The person filling this position believes that all students can learn, and that student engagement in the classroom enhances knowledge of academic content and leads to higher student success and demonstrates excellent teaching skills including varied pedagogical styles (i.e. collaborative, inquiry-based, computer assisted, and/or multimedia methods of delivery including experience integrating course management software as a supplement to classroom learning). Candidates will compile and report grade-related information in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement based on College deadlines.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Chemistry or related fields.Demonstrated effectiveness with on-line teaching.2-3 years of college teaching experience.Experience creating and implementing student learning outcomes, evaluating student performance and progress through a variety of assessment approaches; the use of classroom technology, online learning, and student-centered learning techniques are preferred.Must possess strong written communication skills and time management skills.

Doctorate degree preferred.Successful community college teaching experience.Commitment to fostering inclusiveness, equity and diversity within the academic setting.Teaching experience with Early College students or at the High School level.Commitment to the mission of the community college

Position Description
The University of Saint Joseph invites applications for a Full-time Non-Tenure Track faculty position (9 or 12-month) to teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs within the Department of Nursing.
