Attend a weekly feedback meeting with assigned EU administrator (Dean of Academic Affairs, Academic Advisor, or Program Director) to review student and classroom issues
Maintain accurate attendance (daily and weekly)
Make phone calls to students who have been absent
Review and administer pre- and post-testing in all appropriate courses
Administer required surveys and assessments in all appropriate courses
Notify registrar of changes in roster
Prevent "do not admit" students from entering class until cleared
Maintain an accurate and fair grading scheme for each student
Adhere to all University policies, rules, and regulations
Maintain formal, neat, legible, accurate, and organized course syllabi
Update attendance daily and grades weekly; ensure any physical student records of attendance and grades remain on campus in the designated area
Conduct class according to scheduled times
Prevent excessive breaks
Avoid dismissing classes early
Arrive at the University 20 minutes before the start of class fully prepared for each session
Be available to students 15 minutes prior to the beginning of class session for questions and advising
Submit grades no later than Monday 5pm EST following the end of each term
Ensure that students adhere to University Policy
Attend, if possible, graduation ceremonies
Maintain classrooms in a clean and orderly manner
Motivate, encourage, and assist students with academic issues and class attendance
Maintain current and accurate information related to the subjects taught
Complete annual professional development plans
Tutor students as necessary
Abide by all State, Federal, and/or University laws and rules pertaining to safety, health, and conduct

SUMMARY
Teaches functional living and community integration skills to program participants Adapts teaching techniques and methods of instruction to meet individual needs of developmentally disabled program participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other

Supervises assigned group of program participants and welfare of participants as well as continuity of program day. Treats clients with love, dignity and respect.
Instructs on a daily basis program participants to implement goals specified in implementation plans including all related activities, e.g. 1:1 client instruction, group instructional activities, development of individual implementation plans with the client, and development of daily lesson plans.
Organizes the learning and work activity setting for an assigned group including set up of work stations, development of age appropriate teaching aids, physical organization of instructional equipment, etc.
Plans and promotes activities in the community to allow education, exposure and experience for individuals to occur.
Monitors and reports participant progress on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis per prescribed forms and procedures.
Instructs participants, on a daily basis, in assigned skill areas and work habits on an individualized basis toward the goal of helping individuals achieve personal outcomes.
Coaches program participants to enhance their social skills in order to improve interpersonal skills and individual self-esteem, and develop relationships.
Promotes and educates program participants in regards to their Bill of Rights, the grievance procedure, abuse, and employment options.

Production sheet totals and data related to goals needs to be validated before submission to supervisory staff.
Supervises and instructs assigned program participants during the lunch period to ensure development of good eating habits and table manners.
Maintains, on a daily basis, a liaison with The Key Training Center social caseworkers, families and other significant persons to ensure that the training program is coordinated and that communication about behavior and progress occurs.
As needed, creates or procures learning materials and equipment geared to each participant's ability and interest.
Provides, as needed, consistent reinforcement to learning, continuous assessment of level of functioning and continuous feedback to participants.
Dispense program participant medications according to physician orders and documents same.
Communicates (verbally and in writing as per procedure) to Vocational Services Director or Program & Services Director and other parties unusual incidents that occur that are directly related to program participants.
Performs other essential duties as required or as necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises individually assigned Instructor Assistants and program participants.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
