Stillman College invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position in Accounting within the School of Business, beginning Fall 2026 (or earlier if mutually agreed upon). The successful candidate will join a collegial and student-centered academic community committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting (examples: Principles of Accounting I & II, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and related courses)
Advise and mentor Accounting majors and business students
Engage in curriculum development and assessment efforts aligned with IACBE accreditation standards
Participate in School of Business committees, recruitment, and student engagement initiatives
Maintain scholarly activity in accordance with College and School expectations
Contribute to community and professional service consistent with the mission of Stillman College
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting or a closely related field required
CPA certification or significant professional accounting experience strongly preferred
College-level teaching experience is preferred, but strong professional background with demonstrated instructional ability will be considered
Commitment to high-impact teaching practices and student success, including first-generation and diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in Accounting or business-related field (completed or ABD)
Experience using technology-supported and online instructional delivery
Evidence of scholarly engagement (research, presentations, publications, or professional development)

The Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science at the Culverhouse College of Business, University of Alabama, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Applied Statistics. The appointment may be made at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with the individual's record, with a start date of August 16, 2026. Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Statistics or closely related fields with documented research in statistics. Successful candidates are expected to conduct and lead independent research in Statistics. The College and the Department support foundational as well as interdisciplinary research. Candidates with expertise and interests in artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data and network analysis, computational and Bayesian methods, are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions:
1. Leads energizing, engaging, safe, effective, and educational group classes, utilizing a variety of equipment as directed by the supervisor to meet the YMCA mission and goals.
