Job Description
Performs schedule and non-scheduled maintenance on UH-72A Lakota helicopters and other airframes as required. Conducts operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Diagnoses malfunctions or failures and makes adjustments, repairs or replacements of parts and/or components.
Aircraft Inspections: 70%
* Performs detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.
* Conducts operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems
Compliance: 20%
Assures that completed work complies with FAA/Airbus regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
Follows all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities Position Summary
As the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician, you will impact PSA Airlines' business growth by conducting aviation repairs and services that allow for operations to be on time. By executing maintenance procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company standards, you are ensuring safe and reliable flights.
Job Responsibilities
Will perform tasks necessary to comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and accept the responsibility for work performed by themselves and/or in conjunction with others and sign for same on the Company's approved forms.
Keep work areas clean. Return all equipment and tools to assigned areas. A&P Technicians will report all inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Mechanic in charge.
Work will consist of and include any and all phases of repair and maintenance of aircraft with the aid of the employee's own tools, specialty tools provided by the Company, the use of test equipment, and Company-supplied technical manuals.
In certain cases, and A&P Technician may be authorized to perform required inspection items and assist in Company training programs.
Will at the commencement of each repair or inspection initiate the proper documentation. Parts tags will include a complete description of the discrepancy on all removed parts. Determine if the work to be performed is a Required Inspection Item.
Verifying, through proper documentation, that any part installed on any aircraft or component is approved for that aircraft or component and has been visually inspected and is free of damage or contamination.
Assure that hangar workshops and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner.
Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor through the Lead Mechanic.

Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.

Valid, state-issued Driver's License.
Capable of using respirators and other personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection.

The AircraftMechanic 1 - Sheetmetal - Maintenance fabricates, installs, and maintains in good repair the sheet-metal equipment and fixtures (such as machine guards, grease pans, shelves, lockers, tanks, ventilators, chutes, ducts, metal roofing) of an establishment. Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints, models, or other specifications, setting up and operating all available types of sheet-metal working machines, using a variety of hand tools in cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, and assembling, and installing sheet-metal articles as required.
Read and analyzes work request and applicable specifications or similar work data. Develop and draw working sketches showing view, section, or profile.
Manufactures and fabricates aircraft sheet metal parts, panels, doors, etc., from various serviced aircraft. Such aircraft articles have numerous combined straight and curved edges or irregular curves and planes such as fuselage, door assemblies, windshield panel angles, washers, firewalls, and straight brackets. Such sheet metal stock/parts/items consist of various types of metal, e.g., steel stainless steel, aluminum, corrugated aluminum, titanium, iron, brass, copper, magnesium, rubber, plastic, plexiglass, fiberglass, etc. Determines type and extent of repair or replacement required, type of material and repair methods to use. Lays out, cuts form, joins, assembles and installs items.
Develops parts and templates from prints, drawings, or original parts to produce repair parts that are not readily available. To accomplish the development of these parts or templates plans, lay outs, cuts, forms, shapes and assembles complex sheet metal items.
Also, may use developed patterns/layouts, prefabricated templates or old part as a sample, scribes outline on sheet metal and cuts out scribed part using shears, Do-All saw and turret punch.
Forms metal using cornice brake, punch press, drill press, and similar metal forming tools.
Finish and smooth edges of metal sheet after cutting and assembles component sheet metal piece with rivets, screws, nuts, and bolts. Aligns, drills and reams material for installation of various types of riveting and taking precautions to protect dissimilar metals.
Applies necessary protective compounds, special insulating protective tape, plastic cement, fiberglass resins, etc.
Independently lays out template, transcribes information from template and manufactures double contour parts with configuration in several planes.
Assembles and fastens fabricated parts by installing bolts, rivets, screws and/or seaming.
Ensures finished aircraft parts meet quality standards for soundness, strength, appearance in accordance with specification and/or similar requirements.
Employee may be required to work inside fuel tanks or other confined spaces.
Follows all safety procedures and for using appropriate personal protective equipment to include checking protective devices for proper operation and maintains a safe clean work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid up-to-date A&P license.
If no A&P license, shall have three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two (2) years on the assigned (MDS) Sheetmetal Preferred.
All experience must be within the six (6) most recent years.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.

**JOB DUTIES:**
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

+ Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times.
+ Additional responsibilities include working with a variety of repair and test equipment including welders, torches, pressure testers and electrical testers to name a few.
+ Completing all required documentation and tagging requirements of QEC items.
+ Order QEC parts from COMBS.
+ Refer to technical publications to determine specifications to be met.
+ Track and record calibration dates to insure that support equipment is up to date.
+ Keep files with documentation and certifications of calibrated equipment.
+ Ensure that equipment is sent out for calibration when due.
+ Ensure that all equipment is accounted for.
+ Assign I.D. numbers to each piece of equipment.
+ When turning over equipment to the operating command make certain to have them sign a receipt for all equipment to keep on file in COMBS.

AircraftMechanics I must have a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet the assigned missions. Makes repairs to aircraft and follows direction of higher graded workers. The AircraftMechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Qualifications:
An associate or undergraduate university degree or higher (preferably in Quality Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is preferred
Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelor's degree
Minimum of three (3) years of construction experience as a part of a quality control supervision
Minimum of five (5) years industrial and/or commercial construction experience
Experience with large/complex quality plan implementation
Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of the Construction Standards and Best Practices
Working knowledge of the International Building Code Knowledge and experience of diverse project type
Computer skills using Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office
