December of 1998, Allied was awarded its first fiduciary services contract by the State of Connecticut, becoming the first fiscal intermediary for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) who were approved to receive non-medical support services in their homes.
In 2004 a Vision Statement was established, “Creating Opportunities for People.”
Allied Rehabilitation Centers Self-Advocacy was born on September 21, 2005.
Allied’s Attic Thrift Store opened on Enfield Street, August 20, 2007, and 3 Pearson Way accepted donations.
The thrift store then moved to George Washinton Road in 2013.
