How many hours can a minor work in Mississippi?
In Mississippi, the number of hours a minor can work depends on their age and the nature of the work. Minors under the age of 14 years old, for example, are prohibited from working without a work permit, while minors aged 14 and 15 may work a maximum of 3 hours per day and 18 hours per week when school is in session. Conversely, 16 years of age or older may work up to 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week.
