Gain relevant experience. Most yacht employers prefer candidates with experience in the hospitality or marine industry. Consider working in hotels, restaurants, or other customer service jobs to gain relevant experience.
Obtain the necessary certifications. Depending on the position, you may need to obtain certifications such as STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping), ENG1 (Marine Medical Certificate), or a Yachtmaster certification.
