What disqualifies you from joining the Air Force?

There are many things that can disqualify you from joining the Air Force, such as age, physical traits, and past experiences. You cannot be younger than 17 or older than 39 if you want to enlist. That age does bump up to 48 for positions such as a doctor. You also must be a legal permanent resident with a green card to enlist.

There are many physical traits required to join the Air Force, so you may be disqualified if you do not match them. You cannot be taller than 6'8''. You also must be at least 4'10''. If your eye refraction level is worse than + or - 8.0, you also are disqualified from joining the Air Force.

You can be disqualified from joining the Air Force if you have any tattoos that are deemed inappropriate by Air Force standards.You also could be disqualified based on previous law violations, even if it is just an excessive number of parking violations.
