What do detectives do on a daily basis?
Detectives perform investigations, write reports, and collaborate with other law enforcement professionals on a daily basis. Here are some details on the daily activities of a detectives:
- Perform investigations. A detective's time is typically split between being in an office, performing police paperwork and criminal interrogations, and being out in the field investigating crimes and questioning witnesses or people of interest. In most cases, detectives find themselves both inside and outside of the police station on a typical workday.
