What do radiologists do on a daily basis?

• Interpreting Medical Images. This is the core task of a radiologist's job. They analyze images obtained from various modalities such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine scans to identify abnormalities and diagnose conditions.

• Providing Diagnoses. Based on the results of these images, radiologists provide diagnoses. They write reports detailing their findings and interpretations which are then used by other physicians to determine the appropriate treatment for patients.

• Consulting with Other Physicians. Radiologists often work as part of a larger medical team. They consult with other physicians to discuss patient cases and provide their expert opinion on the interpretation of medical images.

• Performing Image-Guided Procedures. Some radiologists perform procedures that use imaging to guide instruments within the body. These can include biopsies, angiographies, or the insertion of stents or drainages.
