What does a CRNA do on a daily basis?
A CRNA performs pre-anesthesia assessments on patients, administers anesthesia, and provides post-anesthesia care to patients on a daily basis. Here are some details on the daily activities of a CRNA:
- Performs pre-operative patient assessments. A CRNA reviews the anesthesia plan with patients before surgery and also performs evaluations on the patient to determine the correct form and dosage of anesthesia to administer. Conducts post-operative care on patients. CRNAs also concentrate on pain management and critical care medicine after a patient's surgery is complete. They might also perform patient surveys or evaluate patients' postoperative condition.
