This question is about what a credit analyst does.

What does an entry-level credit analyst do?

By Kate Swindlehurst - Jun. 13, 2023

Entry-levelcredit analysts work under associates, complete tasks for others, and calculate risks. Most credit analysts have completed at least a bachelor's degree as well as some internships before beginning work. Networking like that obtained during internships can be crucial for finding a desirable position.

After graduation, and hopefully with a few connections and internships, credit analysts can begin working. This position involves a bit of everything; credit analysts work for many people and industries, including investment banking, where many credit analysts want to end up.

Analysts work under associates, who help them complete tasks and are there for entry-level analysts to report to. Entry-level credit analysts research information to evaluate potential risks that can be used by more senior employees to evaluate risk.
