A 9/80 workweek is a specific type of alternative work schedule that consists of workers spending eight nine-hour days and one eight-hour day working over two weeks. The result of this work schedule arrangement is that employees will have worked for a total of 80 hours over the time period of two weeks.

A 9/80 workweek enables employees to have every other Friday off from their job. This alternative work schedule technique is often utilized to give workers more work-life balance and overall flexibility. However, it still makes sure that the necessary amount of work is completed in a time frame that is desirable by the organization using the 9/80 workweek.
