What is the surgeon hierarchy?

The surgeon hierarchy ranks surgeons according to their credentials and experience. At the top of the hierarchy is a neurosurgeon and at the bottom is a general surgeon. In the middle are specialist surgeons such as plastic surgery or orthopedic surgery.

Neurosurgeons are considered the highest-ranking type of surgeon. It requires the most amount of school and pays the most money compared to all other surgery types.
