A great company is one that has an environment of learning, good work-life balance, and creates motivation to work.

A great company fosters an environment that is based on learning. Employees are able to make mistakes and learn from them. They are given the opportunity to figure things out. Employees will be given the opportunity to learn new skills or improve on what they already have, and are encouraged to do so.

Great companies trust their employees to do their work. Employees are able to balance their work responsibilities and life responsibilities. When feasible, a company will be very flexible with working around things that happen in life. This work-life balance creates a mutual relationship of respect.

A reward or recognition plan in place makes a company highly sought after. Small accolades can be just as motivating as large incentives for employees. These incentives can revolve around attendance, meeting goals, or even work ethic. Employees feeling valued is important to keep them motivated.
