The Wikimedia Foundation, which hosts and supports Wikipedia, is building a privacy-preserving experimentation platform to enable data-driven decisions across our products at global scale. The Experiment Platform Team is actively developing and maintaining this infrastructure, providing product teams with A/B testing, feature flags, and experiment analysis capabilities. This platform will enable 10+ product teams across the Wikimedia Foundation to test product decisions through privacy-preserving experimentation.
Job Description
As the EngineeringManager for the Experiment Platform Team, you will lead a small high-performing team of engineers building the experimentation platform. In this role, you have an exciting opportunity to shape its architecture and capabilities. You will work alongside product analytics teams, SRE, and data engineering to ensure the platform meets the needs of product teams while maintaining the highest standards for privacy, reliability, and performance. You will work in close partnership with the Product Manager to translate product vision into technical roadmaps, balancing feature requests from product teams with platform reliability and scalability needs.
This is a fully remote position. Some travel is required 2-3 times a year for off-sites and other events.
Responsibilities
Foster a supportive team environment, ensuring diverse voices are heard and team members feel empowered to lead
Coordinate and lead key team rituals such as sprint and capacity planning, estimation and stand-ups to ensure smooth execution and alignment
Manage team workstreams by tracking progress, resolving blockers, and managing cross-team dependencies
Coach engineers in the art and science of software engineering and evolvable software architecture
Guide team member career growths through structured development techniques and career growth
Own technical decisions and working closely with the team to find best solutions to hard problems
Partner with Product to help product teams adopt the platform and provide guidance on experimentation best practices
Facilitate conversations about long-term technical strategy for the Experiment Platform
Partner closely with the Product Manager to prioritize platform capabilities and define technical requirements
Balance timely feature delivery with quality, reliability, and scalability requirements
Be a strong voice, leader, and collaborator on team activities including code reviews culture, ceremonies, and work allocation.
Partner with peers on cross-team delivery and radiating organizational updates
Collaborate with product analytics to ensure the platform supports meaningful experiment analysis
Skills and Experience:
3+ years of experience managingengineering teams, preferably working on data platforms or developer tools
Strong technical background with ability to make architectural decisions and guide technical discussions
Experience with distributed systems and scaled web applications
Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical concepts
Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholder teams
Commitment to open source values and collaborative development
Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration
Knowledge of observability tools and practices
Qualities that are important to us:

The Role
Abridge's services and engineering teams are in hyperscale mode, and multiplying rapidly with our customer base and new product launches. We are looking for a seasoned leader who can harness this growth across cloud infrastructure, site reliability, developer platform, and cloud security. You'll lead and build an extremely fast growing organization, iteratively scope and execute a developer platform, and be responsible for core direct-to-customer infrastructure experiencing extraordinary growth and scaling challenges.
This is a rapidly expanding role that sits at the intersection of AI, platform, security, and healthcare.
What You'll Do
Visionary leadership: Scope, resource, evangelize, and execute developer platform and cloud infrastructure solutions across environments and clouds, real-time streaming infrastructure under immense scale, compute as well as AI -at-edge infrastructure, and the most ambitious cloud security roadmap in the entire tech industry. Collaborate with department heads across product engineering, security, product management, commercial, and more to develop, align, and execute an extremely ambitious strategic roadmap.
Gifted tactician: We have an extremely diverse set of challenges all happening at the same time. We don't expect you to code, but we expect you to be able to work at the level of small tiger teams to unblock, enable, and drive execution and solutioning.. You'll need to be creative on multiple dimensions and juggle several ambiguous and tricky problems at a time, at any given time.
Recruiter extraordinaire: You'll have all the resources you need at your disposal to scale out your team to meet this roadmap - both ICs and managers. You'll need to be able to attract top talent and hire quickly while maintaining a consistently high bar. You'll iterate on the hiring process along with other leaders, improve diversity and equity, retain and maximize the effectiveness of an extremely senior team, and make strategic bets on the people that will take us to the next level.
Mentor to the mentors : The engineering team you'll be managing, and all the teams you'll be partnering with, are quite senior-heavy. Position Overview
As Director of Platform Engineering, you will architect and lead the development of the foundational infrastructure that powers eGain's AI knowledge management platform. You'll be responsible for building robust, scalable systems that serve as the backbone for enterprise knowledge operations, ensuring our platform can handle the demands of the world's most sophisticated organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and evolution of eGain's core platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance at enterprise scale
Drive the technical strategy for platform services including data storage, compute infrastructure, security, and multi-tenancy
Build and mentor a high-performing team of platform engineers who are passionate about solving complex technical challenges
Establish engineering excellence through best practices in system design, code quality, testing, and documentation
Partner with product leadership to translate business requirements into scalable platform capabilities
Own the technical roadmap for platform modernization, including cloud-native architectures and infrastructure-as-code
Champion developer productivity by creating internal tools, APIs, and services that accelerate application development

What We're Looking For
10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
Master's in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier US university
Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Proven track record of building and scaling platforms that support mission-critical enterprise applications
Strong technical foundation in modern platform technologies including containers, orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation
Experience with data-intensive applications and managing platform performance at scale
Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Demonstrated success in building and developing high-performing engineering teams

Key Responsibilities
Own the vision and technical strategy for eGain's ecosystem connectivity, including APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
Lead engineering teams building integrations with CRM systems (Salesforce, ServiceNow), contact centers, content management systems, data warehouses, and AI platforms
Design and evolve eGain's API strategy, ensuring our platform offers world-class developer experience and integration capabilities

Job Summary
The Senior Director of Security Engineering will shape and lead Proofpoint's enterprise security engineering vision. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience: 10+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or software engineering, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
Proven experience leading large-scale security engineering programs or cloud security operations in SaaS or enterprise environments.
Deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), identity systems, detection platforms, and industry-leading automation frameworks.
