Arthur State Bank company history timeline

1933

Harry Arthur along with his father and two of his brothers formed the Arthur Depository on April 1, 1933.

In early 1933, newly elected President Franklin D. Roosevelt closed all the banks in the United States for a period known as a bank holiday.

1934

On March 1, 1934, General Arthur established the Woodruff Depository in the same building that became the home of Woodruff State Bank.

1988

General Harry M. Arthur was President and Chairman of the Board, a position he held until his death in 1988.

1996

Pinnacle State Bank still remains in the Arthur family and has three locations in Woodruff, SC and one in Roebuck, SC that was established on May 23, 1996.

1997

A second branch was established in Clinton, South Carolina on October 2, 1997.

2000

On December 12, 2000, Woodruff State Bank changed its name to Pinnacle State Bank.
