Position Summary Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, located in Medford, is a 378-bed regional referral and level 2 trauma center featuring the latest medical technology and clinical expertise--all administered with a patient-focused philosophy. Our hospital team delivers nationally recognized heart and vascular care, orthopedic services, and cancer care, as well as a comprehensive range of other key services including neurology and neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, rehabilitation services, work health, diabetes care, hospice services, a primary stroke center, an accredited hospital-based sleep center, and the regions only neonatal intensive care unit. Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) sees an average of 130 patients a day. It is a level 2 trauma center. We have 39 rooms with 20 designated as high acuity, 5 moderate/low acuity, 4 Psych flex rooms and 5 Triage rooms. RN to patient ratios are: 1:1 - 1:4 depending on acuity. Key Responsibilities * Working alongside a team of highly trained physicians, nurses, and techs to provide both efficient and excellent emergency care. * Providing the upmost care to emergency room patients through stabilization and monitoring of current health conditions. * Advising patients on their current condition and educating them on continued care. * Quickly and safely assessing Emergency Room patients and prioritizing based on acuity measures. Position Qualifications Education * Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience * Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department and/or Critical Care experience is required OR, Previous experience in one of the below is required; * 9 Months of Clinical Decision Unit RN experience at Asante. * Emergency Department Technician. * Completion of practicum hours in an Emergency Department during nursing school. * Previous EMS Licensure. Required Licensure/Certifications: * RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), upon start. * BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA), upon start. * ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified by American Heart Association (AHA), upon start. * PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified by American Heart Association (AHA), upon start. * TNCC: Trauma Nurse Core Course within 4 months of hire or equivalent for subsequent renewals. Requirement may be waived for short term emergency staffing needs if prior experience in area of specialty is adequate. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: * CEN: Certified Emergency Nurse For New Graduate RN's ONLY (as defined by the hob description): if any additional certifications are required for the unit, as listed on the position qualifications, you have 4 months from your hire date to acquire them. (BLS and RN are still required at the date of hire for all RN's). The Family Birth Center at ATRMC has a total of 12 beds: 8 are LDRP and 4 are overflow for couplets, antepartum and post C-section couplets as needed. There is also a 3-bed triage area.
