    The Quick Lube Technician is an entry level technician who is responsible for performing the basic maintenance of customer vehicles. This position requires exceptional teamwork and the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks. This is an hourly paid position. Perform oil changes, tire rotations, balancing of tires and battery testing Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance Makes accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle Utilizes product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management Takes care to ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them in the same condition or better than when brought in Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training, programs and schools. This position involves general repairs and diagnostics, often with some guidance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (such as starters and alternators), HVAC systems, and steering and suspension systems. It is expected that this technician will hold a majority of the necessary manufacturer certifications. **Key Responsibilities: ** Utilize the multi-point inspection form for each vehicle and document all work performed and recommendations on repair orders. Communicate promptly with the service advisor about additional work needed or delays in repairs. Maintain technician proficiency per Asbury standards and conduct road tests as necessary. Perform diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance, and participate in required training and manufacturer-sponsored programs to enhance technical knowledge. Aim to meet or exceed the manufacturer's Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) goals. Complete paperwork for warranty claims and report any safety issues to management. Ensure vehicles are returned clean and in the same condition. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.     The Reconditioning Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. They also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to them. Duties and Responsibilities: * Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area. * Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. * Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair. * Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. * Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer. * Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. * Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required. * Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. * Document work performed. * Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands. * Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. * Attend factory-sponsored training classes. * Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins. * Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean. * Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times. * Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes. * Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
