This position involves assembling and disassembling subassemblies and systems by closely following detailed instructions. Position Summary Perform a wide variety of mechanical or measurement assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembling, bonding and fitting on assembly units. Demonstrated the ability to perform delicate, high skill, processes on small parts. Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with MRP systems a plus. This role requires precision, patience, and strong hands-on ability to assemble and inspect sheet metal components. The Assembler will work with a variety of hand tools, measuring instruments, and materials such as honeycomb mesh to ensure products meet strict quality and performance standards. Responsibilities Assemble sheet metal parts and subassemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications. Use a variety of hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers, for precise assembly work. Operate and read micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Perform tedious and detailed hand work with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Handle and integrate honeycomb mesh and other specialty materials into assemblies. Inspect components for defects, alignment, and compliance with quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow all safety procedures and adhere to company policies. Responsibilities: Work from written instructions that provide detailed methods and sequence of assembly operations using a bill of materials, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings. Assemble and fabricate assemblies using company-supplied hand and power tools. Interface with Engineering and Quality Assurance regarding assembly requirements, workmanship standards and customer product specifications.
