Assembles, disassembles, or performs process steps on our products

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Other industry experience and transferable skills/experience may be considered.

Pay Details: $24.20 per hour

What our ASSEMBLER does:
Assembling the components of the job, which may include machining and/or assembling various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units.
Operating machinery that modifies the product (ex. chop saws)
Preparing the product for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, labels, etc.
Inspecting the overall quality and accuracy of assembled product throughout the assembly process
Repairing and disassembling returned or defective millwork to prepare it for resale or return to stock.
Performing routine maintenance on all tools used including cleaning, oiling, checking to ensure proper functioning, calibrating machines, checking measuring tool accuracy, and notifying a supervisor of larger repairs or malfunctions.
Working in a safe manner:
Participating in all safety training and meetings
Understanding and complying with the Company safety policy
TOOLS USED: Include but are not limited to chop saw, table saw, rip saw, hand saw; router, nail gun, screw gun, door machine, various pneumatic tools, and drills.
What you need to have:
High School diploma or GED and one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurements, volume, and distance.
Might require forklift certification, depending upon branch requirements.

Position Summary
Perform a wide variety of mechanical or measurement assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembling, bonding and fitting on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint and test specifications.

As a certified forklift operator, operates material handling equipment as required to move heavy weight material.
Maintains all necessary records. Moves average weight materials as necessary in the performance of job.
Maintains a clean and organized work area per company housekeeping standards and 5S policies and procedures. Follows all safety regulations and procedures.
Performs other duties as required or directed

Ability to frequently lift or move material weighing over 25 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.
Aptitude to follow verbal and written instructions.
