Textron has need for a full time Mechanical Engineering Specialist with a minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical and specialized tooling/handling equipment design\. The candidate should be comfortable as a cognizant designer of mechanical systems for military applications\. The candidate should be familiar with manufacturing environments and understand the tooling and equipment needed to aid fabrication and assembly\. The candidate should also be well versed in Siemens NX CAD design software and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing \(GD&T\)\. _Job Description:_
+ Generate high quality 2D and 3D CAD files in NX
+ Prepare and update detail design drawings, assembly drawings, Indented Parts Lists primarily for military applications\.
+ Applies the following in the creation of technical data packages: ANSI Y14\.5 dimensioning and tolerancing, military standards and specifications, manufacturing and assembly processes\.
+ Collaborate closely with engineering teams to research, analyze and implement design solutions with attention to design for manufacturability and assembly \(DFMA\)\.
+ Perform tolerance stack\-up analysis calculations\.
