Responsibilities:
The Adjunct/Part-time Instructor assumes responsibility for performance of all functions generally identified by the college as within the realms of the instructor. Position Details:
The Radiologic Science program is an integral part of the occupational education offerings of the college. The college is looking for a Radiologic Science Instructor.
The person hired in this adjunct position will report to the Radiologic Science Program Director and will be responsible for the overall academic and administrative leadership of the department. This posting will be filled based on programmatic need.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and adhere to a syllabus in Kilgore College required format
Clearly communicate course requirements, means of evaluation, deadlines and policies to students
Develop high quality means of evaluating student learning outcomes and apply them fairly and consistently in accordance to Kilgore College policies, as well as methods and timelines set forth in the syllabus
Submit grades and required course documentation timely
Follow Kilgore College policies and procedures in all elements of course management
Maintain required office hours to provide additional academic support to students and go over examinations and other graded work
Ability to conduct classroom laboratory and/or online courses
Work closely with other departments in the division to manage shared space and resources
Prepares for and teaches classes as assigned while making good use of class time and keeping all classes for the scheduled period
Develops appropriate grading policies and methods of student assessment to monitor and communicate academic progress
Provides full information to students regarding course syllabi, objectives, text, and materials required for the courses taught
Maintains accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
Recognizes individual differences in the classroom, and adapts instructional techniques accordingly
Encourages and motivates students in a positive/professional manner to do their best
Refers students to appropriate staff, office or resource person for information, guidance, financial assistance, placement, etc.
Enforces regulations in the school catalog and student handbook
Attends scheduled faculty, department, and committee meetings
Uses college equipment and property appropriately and have students do the same

Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates' degree required
Two years of professional clinical experience in Medical Imaging
Two years of instructional experience preferred

Candidates with post-primary certifications preferred
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
