Responsible for maintaining the process of SPD equipment, ordering supplies, OR returns and assisting with stocking, exchanging Crash Carts and other specialties cart/boxes within an appropriate time frame.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Checks equipment supplies and accessories on a regular basis while monitoring SPD supply areas for compliance to regulatory agencies.
2. Obtains, returns, and delivers equipment to SPD for disinfection regularly; performs minor troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of equipment as needed; specifically, patient care equipment and Crash Carts.
3. Cleans and disinfects equipment's, case carts as per standards and policies and ensures equipment is functioning properly and stored appropriately.
4. Assesses and stocks Crash Cart after use assuring sterility dates have not expired. Works with SPD Materials Representative to maintain Par Level of Crash Cart supplies.
5. Works collaboratively with all Departments, Clinical Engineering, Nursing Units, and Sterile Processing Team Members.
6. Demonstrates ability to handle changing priorities that may arise. Pays attention to details of job and maintains an organized system for documentation, reports, record keeping, files and workflow. Maintains accountability for follow up on job functions that are time sensitive.
7. Works in a self-directed manner, accurately communicating pertinent information to appropriate personnel. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by Assist Manager, Manager, Supervisor, Lead Technicians or Materials Representative.
8. Use of computer applications: Understands and properly utilizes SPM to document work completed. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
9. Assist in the decontamination area with unloading instrument dumbwaiter, loading/unloading cart washer and other duties that does not require certification.
10. Places equipment and supplies in Sterile Processing according to instructions.
11. Other related duties as assigned

Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, continuously monitors and interprets ECG Monitors.
Documents on all necessary records the rhythm interpretation and any changes or pertinent information.
Communicates with and supports the healthcare team, patients and/or family or significant other(s).
Position Responsibilities:
• Continuously observes and interprets ECG monitors. Includes the following:
• Identifies and responds appropriately by communicating changes in patient's ECG to the RN. Notifies nursing staff of any technical monitor problems.
• Documents calculations and interpretation on required forms.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles, especially when processing and working with the equipment.
• Records information required on all forms in the department as needed.
• Assists with orientation of healthcare team, performance improvement activities, and maintains departmental competencies.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
3-6 months previous experience preferred.

Records phlebotomy requisitions on appropriate log sheets (STAT, OP, etc.). Assures complete patient identification on the requisitions including the diagnosis.
Assist laboratory techs in receiving dropped off specimen in Paragon.
Centrifuge specimen appropriately according to the instructions.
Maintains the outpatient phlebotomy room in a sanitary condition, free of floor clutter and fully stocked of phlebotomy supplies.
Maintains the phlebotomy supply room in a sanitary condition and free of floor clutter. Stock the shelves in a manner that older supplies get used first.

* HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.

Relevant Experience:
* 1-3 years' experience as Linen Tech or relevant area preferred.
