About the Role

Key Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Oversee incoming shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
* Direct the receipt, unloading, sorting, staging and putaway of shipments.
* Utilize Advance Shipment Notice system to verify and keep records on incoming shipments against shipping documents for accuracy.
* Maintain a Receiving schedule for all inbound shipments

* Ensure the quality and timeliness of data entered into the computer systems by subordinates.
* Ensure proper material handling procedures so that no products are damaged in the warehouse.
* Assist the Operations Manager with overall security of the facility, including product loss control.
* Execute the processes an procedures related to wireless warehouse functionality, including employee training and security of the handheld devices.

* Manage absences and requests for time off for subordinates to ensure adequate staffing levels.
* Hold Subordinates accountable for meeting departmental and individual standards for performance and perform annual performance evaluations.
* Lead receiving/IC employees to perform at standards or higher by setting clear expectations and providing motivation and regular feedback.
* Execute programs to ensure that workplace safety standards are met; ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
* Monitor material handling equipment, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment in safe working condition.
* Monitor safety equipment, fall protection harness, and other materials related to occupational safety; ensure the daily safety checklists are completed and maintained for the department.
* Ensure compliance of all receiving personnel with the company's safety policies and procedures and OSHA standards.
* Conduct accident investigations and find solutions to prevent accidents from occurring with the assistance of the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources.

Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner.
