Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha company history timeline

1992

Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha was founded June of 1992.

In December of 1992 the Boys & Girls Club’s Board of Directors was able to purchase the church and create a permanent home for BGCK at 3712 50th Street.

1998

In 1998, Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha began expanding programs and opened four after school sites at Durkee, Bain, Roosevelt and Frank Elementary Schools.

2000

On January 1, 2000, the Club established programs in Lincoln Neighborhood Community Center.

Four additional after school sites were added in September of 2000.

2001

The 2001 merger of Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha and CYC Sports impacted growth and created an all-encompassing network of services to youth.

2017

The Club celebrated it’s 25th Anniversary in 2017 while serving over 12,000 youth annually.

2021

The Club took over operations of Scamps Gymnastics & CYC Legendary All-Star Cheer in January of 2021, further increasing membership, growth and overall impact in our community.
