Pediatric experience is not required, neurosurgery training will be provided. Socialization: Encourage and engage the client in conversation and activities to prevent isolation and keep him mentally active.
Routine Management: Assist the client in maintaining a consistent daily schedule and routine.
Boundary Setting: Ability to set firm, yet kind and respectful boundaries to ensure safety and adherence to the daily plan.
Activity Promotion: Encourage light physical activity and engagement (within the client's capabilities).
Errands and Appointments
Transportation: Safely transport the client to and from medical and physical therapy appointments.
Grocery/Supply Management: Handle grocery pick-up, put away items, and ensure household necessities are stocked.
Medication Monitoring: Maintain a visual stock of regularly needed non-prescription medications and supplies, and communicate needs to the daughter.
Household Support
Meal Preparation: Basic, light meal preparation and organizing for the client.
Coordination: Coordinate with the family and physical therapists to schedule and manage appointments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Required experience working with and supporting individuals experiencing cognitive decline or similar deficits in a private home care setting.
Communication Skills: Excellent, proactive, and timely communication skills, with the ability to provide regular updates to the client's daughter.
Personal Attributes: Reliable, patient, trustworthy, and skilled at taking initiative. Must be able to help keep the client active and engaged.
References: Must provide professional references demonstrating relevant experience. Open to private household or assisted living facility experience.
Other: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be legally authorized to work in the US and willing to take a background check. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

A Day in the Life of a Cat Sitter
Cat Sitters visit cats in client's homes for drop in visits (30, 45, or 60 minutes) once or twice daily or for 10 hour overnight stays. Before your first sitting visit, you'll meet each client and their cat in person for a meet and greet in their home, winning them over with your warm smile, demeanor and professional approach. You'll go over the whole care routine, finding out where things are in the home, and discuss contingency plans for emergencies.
