Maintains and opens locks, repairs damaged locking mechanisms, cuts keys, and changes lock combinations, using tools and specialized equipment. Summary The Finish Carpenter is responsible for performing detailed carpentry work, including the installation and repair of trim, cabinetry, doors, molding, and other custom wood features. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and the ability to complete high-quality finishing work that meets the expectations of both clients and company standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and related materials for trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, molding, and other finishes. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Perform detailed sanding, fitting, and finishing to achieve a professional appearance. Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks with precision. Repair or replace damaged woodwork, trim, or cabinetry as needed. Ensure all work meets safety requirements, building codes, and company quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to maintain project schedules. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site. Other carpentry-related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Proven experience as a finish carpenter, trim carpenter, or in a related role. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and finishing methods. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt on-site. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must consistently report to work on time, in proper attire, and with a professional attitude. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Training, Education, and Licensure High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3-5 years of finish carpentry experience. OSHA certification and additional trade certifications are a plus. Work Environment This position operates primarily on residential and commercial job sites. Work may include indoor and outdoor environments and requires adherence to safety guidelines at all times. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Use hands and arms to handle tools and materials. Lift and move up to 50 pounds. Work at heights on ladders and scaffolding. Typical Duties include but are not limited to: * Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to the type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of the structure or fixture to be fabricated. * Select specified type of lumber or other materials. * Prepare layout, using a rule or measuring tape and framing square. * Mark cutting and assembly lines on materials, using a pencil, chalk, and marking gage. * Shape materials to prescribed measurements, using saws, chisels, and planes. * Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue. * Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete. * Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above the ground level. * Saw lumber to blueprint dimensions, using a handsaw or power saw, and nail lumber together to make form panels. * Erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms on the construction site according to blueprint specifications, using hand tools, plumb, rule and level. * Insert spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of forms to maintain specified dimensions. * Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, and timbers. * Some assembly of forms may be required by bolt up connections. * Layout and install embeds in concrete form-work. * Proficient in rigging and flagging cranes. * Must be safety minded and adhere to all safety policies in addition to passing a test in reference to safe operation in a trench. Job DescriptionSalary: Concrete Carpenter/Finisher Job Requirements: For this role we are looking for Concrete Carpenters, Rodbusters, & Finishers with at least 5 years experience. Must be able to follow established finish grade during the pouring of slabs. The ability to read a tape measure accurately. The ability to tie rebar per plans. Be able to install embeds and anchor bolts in accordance with plans. Set string line for setting of concrete forms. Measure, cut, assemble forms, construct and erect/build in place prefabricated wooden/steel forms. Set up and secure forms at correct location, leveling ground and ensuring forms are stable and aligned. Perform concrete placement and finish to include placing, finishing, curing, and cutting of concrete slabs. Proficient in the use of the following tools: straight edges to establish grade, bull floats, float blades, combo blades, hand tools, sledgehammer, hand saws, power drills, saws, lasers, vibrators, walk behind trowels or riders, and had the knowledge when to use these tools at the proper time during place and finish. Patching of voids and repair of concrete work; patch and point experience preferred. Dismantle, clean, store or dispose of forms after use. Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to climb, stand, sit, walk, reach around, bend, crawl, squat and kneel for prolong periods of time. The ability to lift/push/pull up to and not limited to 100 lbs. Working Conditions: Work occurs on-site and will be mainly outdoors.
