Works throughout the state, creates demand for company products and programs among future members. Manages department by establishing goals and standards that meet/exceed customer expectations. For each team member, directs and oversees the execution of individual goal and development plans and actively coaches associates to achieve desired goal and development results. Fosters internal and external relationships by: participating in sales meetings and account calls; disseminating pertinent, proactive information to staff and all internal (underwriting) and external constituents, (brokers, employers and business partners) that directly impacts small business retention specific to Health Net's product portfolio, rating methodologies, or policies and procedures; developing and maintaining effective relationships with brokers, employers, and business partners; and providing support for VP to all external partners, vendors and customers. Develops annual business plan to meet health Plan's membership, revenue and profitability objectives. Develops strategies to grow desirable market share and transform underperforming markets. Implements structured sales process supporting Health Net's business plans and establishes systems to monitor processes. Develops best practices and implements based on local market conditions. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA/post-graduate degree desirable. Minimum five years management experience in addition to outstanding leadership skills. . 9+ years of sales or broker experience in a managed care setting. Experience with a full range of healthcare products. License/Certification: Active health insurance license required. Requires state insurance license required. Requirements vary state by state. Travel: As a field-based role, a minimum of 75% of this role will take place in the marketplace. (Note: Working in an office or remotely within a home-based environment is not considered field-based work.
