As a Full Time MedicalAssistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Richmond, VA. The scheduled hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30a - 5:00p.
What You'll Do
Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies

What we Ask of YOU:
A current, valid state(s) licensure, certificate and/or credentials documenting ability to practice in applicable role (RMA or CCMA)
A High School diploma or GED is required.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.
Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.

Must be a Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide (we will provide training)
Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
Pre-employment physical examination/PPD prior to patient contact
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance is required

Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
