Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possession of a valid and appropriate driver's license. Valid Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Medication training certifications, or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend. Ability to speak and communicate effectively using correct English. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven experience in administration of parks and recreation programs for a diverse population and experience in supervision of personnel. Ability to cooperate with and interpret recreational philosophies to City authorities, private groups, agencies, and the public. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, City officials, contractors, public groups, and citizens.
