I am the current President & CEO of Bethany Christian Services with more than twenty three years of international relief, development, government relations and fundraising experience. In my current role at Bethany, I have the honor to lead an organization which is in 35 States and 8 countries and has 1700 plus staff serving children and families. I report to a Corporate board and work with local State boards. I have helped set the strategic vision for the organization along with being the voice for the organization by speaking to the public, media and members of Congress. I have also served in senior leadership positions all over the globe with leading project and program management positions in humanitarian and development organizations, including World Vision, CARE and MAP International.

Michael Townsend is a Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Gateway Counseling Center, Consultant at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, and Member of the Board of Directors at Mental Health Association in New York State Inc. and is based in Albany, New York. He has worked as Guest Lecturer at CUNY York College. Michael attended John Jay College between 1994 and 1997, John Jay College between 1989 and 1994, and Hunter Public Relations between 2001 and 2004.
