City of Sioux Center company history timeline

1901

He became at once the leading spirit among the pioneer farmers of Holland and Nassau townships, a position which he held almost until his death in 1901.

1902

Then, with the help of a bond issue, the construction of a red and buff- colored sandstone building began in June 1902.

1904

Construction was stalled when the construction company went bankrupt later that year.The building was finally completed in October 1904.

1942

Nieuwenhuis’ book covers slightly different ground than Story of Sioux County, first published by Charles Dyke in 1942 and also available for order.
