Classy Llama CEO and leadership

Kurt Theobald is the founder, CEO & Chief Strategist of Classy Llama. He previously worked at Nucleus Commerce as a CEO. Kurt has also attended College of the Ozarks in 2002.

Jonathan Hodges serves as the Director of Classy Llama. Jonathan oversees the success of Classy Llama. In his time with Classy Llama he has managed the technical implementation of many Magento projects and has consulted on numerous others. He received his B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Evangel University, has been programming in PHP professionally for more than 9 years. He has served as a mentor across the Classy Llama software engineering team and is a Magento Certified Developer Plus, Magento Certified Solutions Specialist, and a Zend Certified Engineer.

Recent experience has been in a startup environment, working with an e-commerce web development agency, participating in growth from ~5 team members to over 55 with continued growth expected.

Have been a key player in developing technical and operational aspects of the business, as well as participating in year-over-year revenue growth in excess of 100%, with high profit margins.

Current position involves working with clients to develop clear business goals, define technical solutions to meet those goals, and provide clear and detailed technical specifications to key project team members. Completing job tasks regularly involves drawing from prior experience in technical and management roles, as well as leveraging creative problem solving skills to create tight project scopes with achievable goals, outlines and estimates.

Previous positions involved project planning, capacity projection, task management, resource and team member management and client communication. Duties also involved research, development and implementation of project methodologies and systems.

Prior technical experience includes programming, designing and building web properties on the Magento platform. Developed significant expertise in front-end oriented Magento customization, PHP module programming and platform customization, template development, and JavaScript development using the jQuery and Prototype/Scriptaculous libraries. Additional experience implementing sites with the WordPress and Expression Engine platforms.
