Established in 2010, Club Champion has grown from a regional three-studio fitting business to a trusted golf club fitting expert with locations in every major golf market nationwide.
Former CEO Joe Lee and former chairman Keith Bank partnered with Nick in 2010 to launch the budding brand.
In 2011, the 8th World Club Championship held May 16-20, 2011 at The Club at Nine Bridges on Jeju Island, South Korea presented the Jay Lee Trophy to Durban Country Club of South Africa represented by Michael Hollick and Murray Gilson on Friday May 10th.
The 2011 champions defeated Patrick McCrudden and Anthony Murphy of the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland in an exciting Match Play Final with a decisive 6/4 victory.
In 2013, on May 24th, the team of Mark Elgner and Craig Sinclair from St George's Golf & Country Club in Canada were crowned the Champions with a 1Up in a highly contested Final of Match Play over Durban's Murray Gilson and Graeme Inggs. It was an especially sweet win after St George’s lost in a very close finish to Seminole GC in 2012 at Diamante.

Alex Healy would win the 2013 championship, narrowly keeping Chuckie Martin from his 4th title.
To best reflect the future growth and evolution of the league, the Board of Directors agreed to re-brand in 2013 to the Club Champions League (CCL) while expanding to Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
In 2014, the youngest club champion was crowned with 13-year-old Austin Barbin taking the title, beating his two older brothers in dramatic fashion with his -5 under par back 9.
The custom club-fitting business has opened more than 30 stores within the past year, expanding from just eight locations in 2014, and expects to have in the neighborhood of 80 locations by the end of the year.
2015 would be the final club championship held at North East, and it was memorable to say the least! Zach Barbin set the North East club championship record with his round of 68 en route to his dominating finish and first title.
ONE-OF-A-KIND, GROUND-BREAKING PARTNERSHIPS AND SPONSORSHIPS: In 2015, the CCL signed a 10-year strategic partnership and sponsorship agreement with adidas North America, and a four-year agreement with soccer.com.
In 2016, Austin Barbin shot a 9-hole record 30 on the first 9 holes of the Club Championship, setting the tone for what would be his second championship in 3 years.
2017 was a dramatic battle between Austin and Zach Barbin, with Zach shooting a 67 on the first day and Austin shooting a 69.

In 2018, the CCL and Kwik Goal, the gold standard of soccer goals and training equipment, entered into a 3-year strategic partnership.
In 2019, the league expanded CCL United to include (2) CCL United teams per birthyear to compete in events.
In 2020, the CCL renewed the partnership for another three (3) years! And during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the CCL was able to secure additional strategic partnerships with SportsEngine / Sports Next, NCSA (Next College Student Athlete), Trace, NextPro Video, Fundraise4U.net, and CoachFX.
