Community National Bank & Trust company history timeline

1987

During January 1987, the bank opened up the area's first automated teller machine (ATM) at 660 Penfield Street.

Community National Bank & Trust was chartered in Chanute, Kansas, in 1987 by a shareholder group including Phil Eastep, Chairman; Dan Midfelt, President and CEO; and Mike Mitchell.

1992

In 1992, the bank joined the Cash Station ATM Network, which allowed customers to use their cards all over the Chicagoland area to get cash, transfer funds, and make deposits.

1995

In late 1995, the bank launched a home equity line of credit product for the first time, which allowed customers to access the equity in their home using a convenient line of credit.

1996

The bank's card further evolved in 1996 when it took on a new look as a Debit MasterCard.

In early 1996, a new branch opened in Peotone to serve that growing market.

1998

At the beginning of 1998, the bank introduced full-service investment services to its customers.

2001

At the end of 2001, Bruce W. Bockelmann retired and was replaced by Greg M. Ohlendorf as president.

2004

The 2004 expansion plans for the Derby office new operations center was initiated

In the middle of 2004, the bank introduced an innovative deposit program called CDARs.

2005

In 2005, First ePay was launched.

2007

August 2, 2007, CNB announced plans to acquire LyndonBank

As of the close of business on December 31, 2007, LyndonBank merged with and into Community National Bank and added Enosburg, Lyndonville and Morrisville offices

2015

At the close of business on July 17, 2015, the Broad Street Lyndonville office and the Federal Street St Johnsbury offices were closed and the other two offices in Caledonia County remain open

2016

2016 was a big year for our Debit MasterCard.
