We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager with a strong background in fragrance and cosmetics to lead regulatory compliance across global markets. This role is responsible for ensuring all products meet applicable regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle, from development through to launch and post-market support.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with EU, UK, and international cosmetic regulations, fragrance compliance (including IFRA standards), and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, UK Cosmetics Regulation, and applicable global regulations (US FDA, GCC, China, etc. as relevant).
Interpret and implement regulatory requirements for fragrance and cosmetic products.
Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on existing and pipeline products.
Fragrance-Specific Responsibilities
Manage compliance with IFRA Standards, allergens, and fragrance ingredient restrictions.
Review fragrance formulas and raw material documentation for regulatory acceptability.
Liaise with fragrance houses and suppliers to obtain regulatory documentation (SDS, IFRA certificates, allergen declarations).
Product Registration & Documentation
Prepare and maintain Product Information Files (PIFs).
Support product notifications (CPNP / SCPN and international equivalents).
Review product labelling, claims, and marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to support compliant product development and launches.
Provide regulatory guidance during new product development and reformulation projects.
Support audits and inspections from regulatory authorities when required.
Risk Management & Governance
Identify regulatory risks and provide mitigation strategies.
Support incident management, safety assessments, and adverse event reporting.
Contribute to internal compliance policies, SOPs, and training.
Key Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
Proven experience in Regulatory Affairs within cosmetics and/or fragrance.
Strong working knowledge of cosmetic regulations in the EU and UK.
Practical experience with IFRA standards and fragrance compliance.
Experience preparing and maintaining PIFs and managing product notifications.
Education
Degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

The Position
The Senior Manager, Product, Trade, and Regulatory Compliance is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for ensuring the organization's products and trade operations meet all applicable domestic and international regulations. This position oversees global product compliance, import/export compliance, and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) management, driving programs that mitigate risk, enhance efficiency, and support business growth. The role partners cross-functionally with supply chain, product development, quality, legal, and logistics teams to embed compliance into daily operations - balancing regulatory rigor with commercial agility.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all products meet domestic and international regulatory requirements, including safety, environmental, and industry standards.
Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory laws and standards, ensuring timely updates to policies and procedures.
Oversee product labeling, documentation, and certifications to ensure compliance with global regulations.

Trade Compliance:

Oversee Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, including zone admissions, inventory control, weekly entries, reconciliations, and annual reporting.
Serve as the primary liaison with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FTZ operators, and internal stakeholders to maintain activation, compliance, and audit readiness.
Manage customs brokers and trade partners, ensuring performance standards and KPIs are achieved through quarterly reviews and scorecards.
Ensure accurate product classification, origin determination, and valuation to meet regulatory and financial requirements.
Oversee duty mitigation and savings programs including Duty Drawback, Trade Preference Programs, Duty Engineering, Defective Merchandise claims, and other cost-saving initiatives.
Monitor and manage trade restrictions, sanctions, and embargoes relevant to company operations.
Policy Development and Training:
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and tools to support all compliance programs.
Conduct regular training for internal teams to enhance understanding of product, trade, and FTZ compliance requirements.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product, trade, and FTZ compliance.

Environmental Specialist II
As an Environmental Specialist II, you will need functional and technical knowledge and skills in areas of air, water and/or waste. In this role, you will resolve a range of straight-forward situations as you continue to broaden your capabilities!
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Provides guidance on environmental processes/policies
Assesses environmental risk; assists in deciding appropriate course of action, including required regulatory documentation
Prepares and submits applications to procure environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations and coordinates with company partners
Conducts required environmental training to company partners
Assists with the preparation of all required compliance reports/certifications and development and maintenance of documentation related to environmental compliance programs
Researches governmental and industry standards for compliance requirements
Prepares environmental reports, plans and inventories for regulatory authorities
Other duties as assigned

Environmental Specialist I
As an Environmental Specialist I, you will support the general and technical duties associated with the development, execution, and programmatic maintenance of the Enterprise regulatory permitting and compliance responsibilities!
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Provides vital information and tools to the Enterprise to help maintain compliance with environmental regulation
Prepares and submit applications to acquire routine environmental permits, approvals, variances and other authorizations
Develops and maintain documentation related to environmental compliance programs
Researches governmental and industry standards for compliance requirements
Assists senior level environmental specialists with preparation of environmental reports, plans and inventories for regulatory authorities
Responds to requests from internal and/or external customers
Other duties as assigned
