Benjamin Bordelon
Bollinger Shipyards

Benjamin G. Bordelon, is the President, Chief Executive Officer of Bollinger Shipyards, LLC. Bordelon is the grandson of Donald Bollinger who founded Bollinger Shipyards in 1946 and the third generation to lead the company. Bordelon joined Bollinger in 2000 as a Project Manager and has held a series of managerial positions throughout various Bollinger locations. Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer, Bordelon was Executive Vice President of Repair from 2002 to September of 2013. In September of 2013, Bordelon served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer until December of 2014 when he assumed his current position. Bordelon is active in many professional and community organizations. He is Chairman of the Shipbuilders Council of America and an active board member of the Offshore Marine Service Association, Tiger Athletic Foundation, Young Presidents’ Organization, and the United States Coast Guard Foundation. He supports many charities, schools and churches in his community and beyond. Bordelon holds a B.S. in Business from Louisiana State University. While at LSU, he played football and was named Captain of the team in 1996. He garnered All-SEC recognition at LSU and was a member of the San Diego Chargers professional football team until his retirement in December 1999. Bordelon resides in Raceland, Louisiana with his wife, Gemi, and their three children.

Brian D’Isernia started his career as a lawyer after graduating from Fordham University School of Law and passing the New York State Bar. However, after a few years in the law business, he decided to change careers and opened a commercial fishing business. Within 8 years, he was the Founder and Owner of a four vessel commercial fishing enterprise. He eventually progressed from commercial fishing into vessel construction, opening the shipyard in 1976. The shipyard remains his primary focus today, although he is involved in several other ventures including the construction of the Hope Town Inn & Marina in Abaco, Bahamas http://hopetownmarina.com and the expansion of the Sandy Creek Airport and Runway in Panama City, FL. In addition to his law degree, Mr. D’Isernia also holds a degree in Economics from Georgetown University. Mr. D’Isernia has been married to the love of his life, Miriam “Mimi”, for over forty years and they have 10 children together, several of which work at the shipyard today. They are now also blessed with grandchildren, whom they enjoy spending time with. Mr. D’Isernia’s love of family has also carried over to the shipyard, as Eastern’s dedicated employees have a hard working, family oriented shipbuilding philosophy. In August 2015, Mr. D’Isernia’s son, Joey D’Isernia became President of Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc., with Mr. D’Isernia remaining as Chief Executive Officer.
